Three Song Listen Thursday #3

Wage War

I'm assuming they're a metal band. I've apparently heard and liked one of their songs, but I don't remember what it sounds like. It's called Manic. For the other two, I chose Stitch and SONG OF THE SWAMP based on their streaming numbers.

Manic

Oh, this one! Yeah, it's cool. Tbh, I thought he said "Medic!" 😂 But I like the sound.

Stitch was ok, closer to metalcore, less electronic and industrial elements.

SONG OF THE SWAMP is heavy AF! Very nice screams - consistent, even, full sound, which I like. I added the EP to my list and followed them. 

Soulfly

I've heard Jumpdafuckup but don't remember it. Sounds energetic, based on the title.

Jumpdafuckup. It's nu metal. Mixing could use some work, but I like his singing and rapping. Recognized Corey Taylor immediatelly when he started singing! I love his vocals, very talented and diverse.

Back to the Primitive. I like the lyricism, very direct and outspoken. Halfway 'til the end, the weird chicken sounds... I've heard of animal noises, but I don't think this is what they meant. 😂 I hate using this word, but it's quite cringe... How old is this band, it sounds about 20 years old... -- It is, the song's from the year 2000. 26 years old. Explains how they could do this and not cringe. And why the mixing is this bad, the equipement back then wasn't what it is now.

Bleed is from 1998. They were pretty early. Also, Fred Durst is immediatelly recognizable. He's an ok vocalist, but hella annoying as a person.
