Weekly Recap (July 21st - 27th, 2025)

On Monday and Tuesday I didn't listen to anything. I spent time with my fiancé and my brother.

On Wednesday I listened to SKIN by H9rr9r (2022). It was even better than I expected it to be. I didn't know that much about H9rr9r before this, besides a few songs. Apparently it's a duo who combine punk and hiphop, sometimes other genres as well.
I followed them, and Saul Williams who features in one of the songs.

On Thursday my brother wanted to listen Walking on a Thin Line by Guano Apes (2003). I haven't listened to them since I was a teen, so this was nostalgic. I enjoyed the album a lot. We also listened to some Rob Zombie and Motörhead.

Later I listened to Scorched Earth by Harakiri for the Sky.
The music is nice and epic metal, but the singing is... well, not goddamn awful, that'd be an exaggeration, but... he's not the best at holding a tune...
With Autumn I'll Surrender was great. The off-key singing sounds like he's desperate and hopeless, which adds to the song's atmosphere.
Too Late for Goodbyes was even better, with the clean vocals. These instrumentals are to die for <3
The best song on the album, however, was the last one, Street Spirit (Fade Out). Absolutely magnificent.

Then I listened to The Unending EP from Hanging Garden. I had already heard the songs To Seize the Night and Morgan's Trail, which just leaves me two songs I haven't heard before, The Passage and The First Sunrise. I preferred the latter.

I was out of town on the weekend, didn't listen to anything in particular.
I'm returning to work next week and will probably listen to more music than in the past four weeks. It's still too hot to go on a walk, though.
