Weekly Recap - and possible changes I'm making to it (June 23rd - 29th, 2025)

Release Radar didn't really have anything that interesting...

Well, except the new messier song. I think it's their best one so far, out of the ones I've heard. They just put out a new album and it's on my list, I'll get to it eventually. The song was See You When You're Sorry Again.

I think I'll stop listening to Discover Weekly, or at least I'll stop writing about it. I'm listening to so many different genres now that I'm listening to mainly albums, so it (Discover Weekly) doesn't really represent my music taste anymore. I don't discover music that interests me through Discover Weekly.

And it's based on an algorithm anyway, and I'm trying to kinda break that mold. Discover stuff that's not even necessarily on Spotify... Going old-school. Or at least older-school. Bandcamp and SoundCloud. Maybe CDs as well, we'll see. I do have some that have been sitting on pile for way too long. 

I'll probably keep listening to Release Radar, but change the way I listen to it, in some way...

I might still do Weekly Recaps, but they might look different from what they've been lately, where I just passively list songs I didn't mind listening to 'til the end, when I have 1h time to listen to a 2h 20min list... Discover Weekly and Release Radar are eating too big of a chunk out of my week.

I don't know, maybe Weekly Recaps are... idk. I'm working on several bigger projects now and it might be better for my feelings of accomplishment to list how I'm doing with those projects and how they take me towards a goal. I'm just also one of those people who are afraid they'll jinx it if they speak about something too soon, before finishing it. But maybe I'll risk it, admitting right now that I might not follow though with my plans.

I'll write my first new kind of Weekly Recap on Sunday, at least. Or sooner. I'm on vacation, I have the time. Except right now. We're going on a trip for a couple of days, and I have other stuff to get to as well before we leave besides this blog post, and the Random albums I listened to in June post. Which I might not be able to finish today, tbh. Maybe I'll do it on Wednesday, when we're back from the trip.
