Token - I'm Not Supposed To Be Here (Album Initial Thoughts)

I'm not sure how I feel about Friends. It's a tough thing to deal with. When your long-term friend does something horrible. You don't condone their actions, but your love for them doesn't just disappear... Personally, I'm quite quick to judge a person who is friends with shady people, but then again, I have been friends with shady people. They weren't shady when I met them, or they were always more a friend of a friend. Or they hid their dark side very very well. Now that I'm older, I'm quicker to cut people out of my life if they're toxic. Who counts as toxic is not that many, but if you do, I don't keep you around.

But I understand Token. I used to be like him. Now I'm stronger.

I love this song, it's good commentary on an important topic and made me think, question my own hypocrisy.

Woo, Ren! You know a man is actually cool if Ren collabs with him. Or at least I feel like that's the case. He's strong enough not to run after the money of big collabs and has the balls to say no to men he doesn't like because of something they did. Can't say the same about Token, but that's fine. Like I said, I used to not have the (mental) balls to do that either, so who am I to judge?

All of these songs deserve multiple listens. Great album.
