Little Simz - Lotus (Album Initial Thoughts)

I liked the first two songs (Thief & Flood, they were dark 🖤

Some days I like silly, intentionally-crappy songs like Young, today I don't.

Only and Free were not as dark as the beginning, but good songs nevertheless.

Peace and Flow were... not bad songs, just not really my thing.

I liked Lion, it was a bop. So was Enough, which manages to be bouncy and dark at the same time. It's cool. 😎

I like the conversational nature of Blood. I only got into rap a couple of years ago and foreign rap (=not Finnish) is still a bit tricky for me. Conversation is easier to follow than regular rapping.

Lotus is great, one of the best from the album.

Lonely was melancholic. This is a me-problem, but it's either her voice or accent that breaks some of the immersion for me. 

Blue is beautiful. Here, the accent doesn't bother me as much for some reason. And Sampha has a beautiful voice.
