Weekly Recap (May 5th - 11th, 2025)
This week's Discover Weekly was ok, but nothing really caught my attention enough to write about it. Plus, I was listening to it at 5:30-7am (while doing my morning routine, breakfast and such - I'm slow at waking up, takes me like 1-2h). The Spotify lists usually update at 7am my time or a bit after that (sometimes 12am at night, though), and most of these sounded familiar, so... There might have been a bunch of stuff from the previous Monday.
Release Radar
- Tallah - A primeval detachment (Sir, it's 6:54 in the morning.)
- Paleface Swiss - River Of Sorrows (Very SlipKnoT - Vermillion Pt.2)
- Katatonia - Temporal (It didn't hit me with Lilac yet, but now it did. What the album is about, vibe-wise, that is. I love their music. It always sounds like them, but it also almost always sounds unlike anything they've ever done before. There's layers upon layers to dig through. You won't get everything the first listen, or the fifth, or the tenth. 🖤)
- Lord Gasp x Istasha - Byracka (🔥🔥 What is happening?! This is new! Neither have sounded like this before!)
- Tech N9ne - This I Know (A banger.)
- Isse x Sysisfäärit x Asa - Yksi sydän (I love this lyricism, very innovative word choices.)
- Royal & The Serpent - Carry Me Home
- Jami Faltin x Costi - Valtakunnallinen (Costi is awesome, Jami sounds ok. The lyrics are just boasting, nothing too interesting.)
- Kade McCuen - Like A Ghost (This is pretty fuckin awesome! Creepy, alternative, but she's also a pretty good rapper. I know the production probably divides opinions, though)
