Sleep Token - Even In Arcadia (Album Initial Thoughts)

I don't currently have the energy to make a deep dive into an album like I did with Bornagar last year.
But I am still going to give this album it's own post.
I've just let it play freely without analyzing it too much, I'm at Provider now.
I've heard Emergence, Caramel and Damocles before.
There's a surprisingly small amount of metal. It's mainly alternative hiphop, with pop influences. Occasionally rock.
I don't mind, though, I love his rapping and singing voice as much as his screams. As long as they keep it versatile throughout the song. Even if the genre isn't really metal anymore in a lot of the songs, I want there to be scraps of their progressive roots left. That's become their trademark, kind of.

I'll add all the new songs to my Listen to This! list (and appropriate genre lists - Rap & Hiphop, and Metal) and maybe analyze them further later when my mental state allows it.
My initial thoughts are that this album is not metal, it's alternative music. And awesome.
