Coheed and Cambria - The Father of Make Believe (Album Initial Thoughts)

I know the band, but I can't name any songs from them. They're kind of a wild card to listen to, like Playboi Carti was.

Yesterday's Lost is pretty. Reminds me of Simon & Garfunkel and Mad World by Gary Jules. Folk-y rock vibes.

Goodbye, Sunshine. The over-annunciation is a bit cringe... Lets see how they sound in general...

Searching for Tomorrow is an ok rock song.

The Father of Make Believe has the prog rock vibes occasionally that I remember hearing about them, which has made me intrigued to check them out.

Meri of Mercy was a bit meh, too 2000s rock vibes. It's been 20-25 years... That sound belongs in the past.

Blind Side Sonny was a pleasant surprise. This is a side of the 2000s punk rock I do miss (Billy Talent -esque), but with new flavors. Awesome. Nostalgia done right, unlike the song before this, which just sounded old.

Play the Poet as well, Billy Talent vibes, but more modern. N0ice.

One Last Miracle has the same over-annunciation as Goodbye, Sunshine, but here it works a lot better for some reason. That or it's growing on me.

Someone Who Can. I feel like a teenager again <3 Why is this song making me emotional?

The Continuum

- I: Welcome to Forever, Mr Nobody. 😮...I'm speechless. Umm... I have a list of songs I want to lyrically break down at some point this year, when I have the time... It's like four albums long, but I'm adding these four songs there. I need to. I hope I remember how awesome these songs were.

- II: The Flood. Actually, a little bit of Rishloo vibes. As long as I remember this is kinda like Rishloo, I think I'll remember how mind-blowing this is... I wish I had a playlist to put this in. It doesn't fit any that I listen to regularly. And I feel that these four songs should probably be listened to in order.

- III: Tethered Together. -

- IV: So It Goes. -

This is so good! Def listening to them more in the future, when they release more music. I'll follow them now. Best rock album I've heard this year.
