Architects - The Sky, The Earth and All Between (Album Initial Thoughts)

One of the best albums I've heard this year, for sure! The unconventional rhythm choices in some of the songs surprised me!
Whiplash is better than Blackhole, I don't know why Whiplash has so much less views on YouTube... 867 000 vs. 2,8 million. Maybe because Blackhole is newer, came out closer to the album release? Or because the punk influences and more conventional rhythms work better for the mainstream audience?
My favorite songs were Elegy, Whiplash, Curse and Seeing Red. The ones that surprised me with the rhythms. Maybe Whiplash and Seeing Red at a shared #1 spot and then Elegy and Curse at a shared #2 spot. After that, it gets nitpicky. Everything's good, and in an album this aggressive, slow songs are needed to balance things out, but they're not my favorite. I wouldn't actively go back to listen to them.
