Stoneside. - the isolationist (EP Initial Thoughts)

I've been listening to so much rap lately (for this blog I mean), that I just needed some metal for a change. This EP has been sitting on my Spotify Library for a while now, waiting for me to get to it.
Love Stoneside., did a Deep Dive into them a while back, I think?

La Llorona
Heard before.
Love the prog metal with electronic influences, similar but different enough compared to my fav band, Katatonia.
The singer's voice is so soft <3 It's soothing.
Who is this screamer, it's not the main singer, sounds like a woman... -- Gabrielle-Gloria from ANNEX VOID, I assume. There's also another featuring band, called Tracheotomy. The former is a prog metal band, the latter is a deathcore band. I followed ANNEX VOID. They got only 300-400 listeners and she sounds so talented, they deserve more listeners.

Dark Skies
Nice runs! He doesn't do those often.
I think I've heard this before? The lyrics sound familiar... -- Yes I have. -- Turns out I've heard all these before. That's fine. I'll listen to them again, I like this band.
These lyrics are a journey... They'd deserve a breakdown...

You're No God
The dark and menacing atmosphere 🖤 Ah, I'm lost in my head immediatelly.
The mixing on the voice as well <3 So clean!
I'm getting chills! And at the scream, I eargasmed. God I love this band and this song!! <3
If I want to give it critique, I'd say his screams could be better. They're a bit "surface level" rn, the mid-range growls. The lower and higher screams are better, they got more weight and substance to them.

Savior
The voice <3 I'm at awe and it sent me into a calm, insightful headspece immediatelly.
When the instrumentals grow at the 2min mark... yes.
Very nice!

Loveless
Not quite as good as the songs prior to this. The melody and lyricism of the chorus is a bit too simple and he uses a lot of those mid-range screams that are not his strong suite. I like the progressive parts of the song, though.
