Weekly Recap (Oct 14th-20th, 2024)

Discover Weekly
This week's list was alright. Very few songs I didn't like, maybe 5-10, and several that I put on The Vibe playlist even, but nothing that was like... Earth-shatteringly good and that I felt I NEEDED to write about.
Here's screenshots of the songs and if I liked them or not (might have missed a few early on the list, Monday morning was... Monday-morning-ing).
(The "Happy Now" is from The Vibe playlist, I started listening to that after I finished the Discover Weekly list.)

Release Radar
- Unlike Pluto - Wrong (May be an exaggeration to put him on the Rap & Hiphop playlist based on this song... He did kinda rap, but only momentarily...)
- HalaCG - Let's Win This
- HEALTH x Filter - FREE TO DIE
- GREYSTONE - Ghostbusters (😂🤟)
- MEWONE! - Genesis
- Kodeseven ft. Void Chapter - Machine
- Ekoh x Zero 9:36 - Save Me (It's a rock song... Ekoh is a rapper, Zero mixes genres, so that's an interesting result..)
- Poppy - the cost of giving up (Thank god it grew in the third verse. It was so soft before that... She needs to step it up, she's not living up to the shock factor of her earlier work.)
- WARGASM (UK) - Circle Pit (🤟)
- Swallow The Sun - Charcoal Sky (The slower parts remind me of Katatonia and make me feel like home ❤️)
- Elliot Lee - Victim of My Mind
- Dorian Electra - Taboo (It's ok. I still feel a bit weird about the data harvesting links they've been sharing, but you know what? It's not a deal breaker for me. It's shady and I don't support it but it ain't the end of the world. This song's fine. Not as good as their old songs, but it's fine.)
- Qveen Herby ft. Tech N9ne - Frankenstein (Oh, a cool feature!)
- Rome Music ft. Clever - Blood Drunk (🤨 Who the fuck are these clowns and why do I follow them? These lyrics suck, they sound like an annoying AF 12yo who thinks he's the toughest person ever because he stayed past his bedtime. -- I've liked one song before, Controlled Chaos. I like the grand backing vocals and instrumentals, the screams are pretty good, but the lyrics are the same 12yo wannabe Chad gym bro shit. Musically, I hear it. But their lyricist sucks. Unfollowed, unliked.)
- LABRATT ft. OJ Mountain - Sushi (Sounds a bit like DAMAG3, but then again not... OJ Mountain did do an entire album with DAMAG3...)
- Sophie Hunter - I Am The Problem (🔥)
- Pertinence - WHAT'S WRONG
