Weekly Recap (July 1st-7th, 2024)

Discover Weekly
- Istasha - Flatworm Friday (Woooo, Istasha disco partyyyyy!!)
- Skycabin - Rude Awakening (I LOVE IT! 🖤 This is doing to me what Katatonia and Unlike Pluto do to me. 🖤 Followed for more.)
- MILKBLOOD - RUN THRU ME
- TOXSYCK - The Hive
- Soulswap ft. holocene - Soulswap (I like her voice, reminds me of Halsey. I also like the instrumentals. I don't like his voice, though. I'll follow her, to see if her own music sounds similar to this, minus the male singer. -- She has 0 listeners a month, holy shit. Does she has music of her own or is this how she started? Well, at least now she knows someone wants to hear her sing more. :D)
- Ok Goodnight - The Drought (Cool! Prog metal is my jam, but there are so many other genres out there that are great as well and then I don't have time to listen to prog as much as my brain/heart/soul would need and when I do I feel like I've been on the desert and just found fresh water... I NEED prog metal, or metal in general, for my mental well-being.)
- The Gentle Men - Ghosts
- In Flames - The Beginning Of All Things That Will End (Beautiful.)
- Discrepancies - Control (I love new bands that make me feel nostalgic :D This is the kind of music I grew up on.)
- Bind the Sacrifice - Deathwrought (I'm surprised I kind of like this...)
- Element Eighty - Mercury Man (🖤)
- Vended - Asylum (The SlipKnoT's guys' kids making a name for themselves.)
- Being As An Ocean - Tragedy (Really cool! My kinda music! 🖤)

Release Radar
- Rustage ft. HalaCG - Avatar (She's not rapping ☹️ Just featuring on a rapper's song, singing the chorus.)
- Sect Unit x Blckbrd - Stop Drop & Run (Aah, sure. It's alright. Sect Unit's flows have been getting better and better as his career progresses, but compared to his other recent songs this is a bit underwhelming.)
- Statik G - Hawk Tuah (Token was better. This is alright, but feels like Statik's copping Token's idea. Trying to benefit from his hit song. Not cool, man. You could have done Token's open verse on Tiktok, he shares those duets on his own page. -- Weird that no one else is talking about this... Statik G is signed, and releasing music through a label is usually a slower process than releasing it independently, but also, it's more common for labels to steal independent artist's music than the other way around. I want to know who wrote their song first - it cannot be a coincidence they're using the same meme and the song title within a couple of weeks from each other!)
- Nik Nocturnal x Paula Carregosa - Upside Down (🤘)
- Cassyette - Friends in Low Places (This time it's a rock song. You never know what genre she's doing before you listen to it.)
- Call Me Karizma - Death of the Party (It's alright.)
- Swallow The Sun - Innocence Was Long Forgotten (Meh. Not in the mood for slow songs today.)
- Derivakat - BOOM (Partyyyyy!!)
- Eminem ft. Big Sean & Babytron - Tobey (It's Friday morning rn. I'm writing a blog post about this. I wrote about the song already, I'm watching Knox's reaction and writing my thoughts after seeing that, and a music video if one is dropping today. And then post it today, whether there's a music video or not.)
- Witchz x SSONEE - ZEN !!! (I like it a lot.)
- Tiësto - ZENLESS (Lol. "Zen" and "Zenless" back to back. The song's alright.)
- Jenni Vartiainen ft. Etta - Viimeinen pisara (I love her voice, one of my favorite pop singers. Song title translates to "The Last Drop". She singing she's keeping up with something for one last night and then she's done. Could be anything - a relationship, a situationship, a bad habit...)
- Kesha - JOYRIDE (She's back! She was doing this hyper girly party pop before it became a trend and now she's back! 💖)
- Lil Peep - Lil Angel (Sure, I like it.)
- Istasha - Kiviaq (Metal? Istasha does metal? Sure, I'm here for it!)
- emlyn - you deserve better. (I like the beginning, it's very impactful.)
