Discover Weekly
- Harper - Falling (Wow, nice screams!)
- Cane Hill - Strange Candy (Love it! Followed.)
- Not Enough Space - No Way Out (Cool.)
- NOTHING MORE - SPIRITS (Wow, that hit hard :D the beginning especially, but the entire song was great!)
- Ghost - Twenties (🤣 I like this!)
- Deadlands - Crushed (Raaaaawrr!! 🖤🤟🏻)
- rchitecture - Forsaken (2) (He sounds like David Draiman)
- Chaoseum - Smile Again (Reminds me of Korn and Bullet For My Valentine for some reason, at the same time)
- DK-Zero - Switch Me On (This is so weird <3 Alt music is the best!)
- Set to Stun - Staria I: Amadeus Rise! (Lots of raaaawrr music today, especially metalcore... It's not exactly where I'm attempting to take my music taste, but that's ok. Me and the Spotify algorithm will get there eventually...)
- Version Eight - Gasoline (Cool. I like the original and a rock/metal version works very well.)
- Lil Tytan, babychaos, Matty Beats - Pop The Trunk (This is more the vibe I'm looking for. Dark trap etc. I'm working on a playlist on the kinda music I want to gravitate towards. I'll probably write about it here when it's finished.)
- Hollow - Cauterize (Followed. I love this.)
- DEAR-GOD - Weaponize This (Another one of those "How is this every genre at once?!" songs...

I know I turned off the notifications on Knox's videos... But it clearly left a hole in my life, cause now I just keep going back every day around 7:15pm (the time the videos drop on my timezone) to see what he reacted to each given day 😂
On Tuesday it was a Megan Thee Stallion song and I was quite surprised by that. I've understood in the past that he doesn't really like Megan - he had a few bars on the song Chaos Theory (I believe?) about "no Cardi B's or Megan stripping" and "why don't you body beats, instead I see bodies on Insta?" or sth like that. Another time when the topic came up he said (and seemed genuine saying it) that he felt sad female rappers had to be so sexual to get attention, or sth along those lines. And now he said he doesn't care either way. Maybe he's changed his mind about it? I know I have, several times.
Currently I think that men made it sexual themselves. They talked about bitches and hos and what they did with them or to them and created a sort of box that a woman had to fit into in order to exist in hiphop. That, or present masculine, be one of the guys. And then some female rappers were like, "fine!" and did it and now the men are like "noooo, have some self respect, and don't ruin our artform!" And I think it's sort of hilarious they don't see it themselves, how hypocritical they are. And then they blame it all on a couple of the most successful female rappers. But they'll get it eventually. And hopefully change the genre for the better. Stop being so shallow and sexist and divisive and make great music.
I don't usually like like Megan's songs, the over-the-top vulgar sexuality isn't my thing, unless it's done in a humorous or queer way. Just personal preference.
But I did like this song! I couldn't catch nearly any of the lyrics, I'm glad Knox was there to break them down. But the flows were great, and the bars I heard or Knox explained were also great. I appreciate her a lot more now that I know her side on all of this. Before, I didn't really have an opinion on her, as a person.
(Ps. I comment this song is a bit more below - an a cappella version of Nicki's reaponse was on my Release Radar for some reason.)

On Saturday, I turned the notifications back on Knox's videos. Couldn't last a week 😂

Release Radar
- Banshee - HIGH BY THE BEACH (It's a vibe. And I don't even smoke pot. Glad she's making happier songs for a change. ^^)
- Statik G - How Far We've Come (It's way too country for my taste, but he can really sing!)
- HalaCG - Burn Book (Mean Girls nerdcore?! Oh yes!! 💖 💅🏻)
- Einar Solberg - Within My Fence - Live (His voice keeps on blowing me away. I could listen to him singing all day long 🖤)
- Uniklubi (ft. a bunch of people I think shouldn't be there) - Rakkautta ja piikkilankaa - Juhlaversio (A new version of their old song, I think it's probably exactly 20 years old or something. I like the original. It's cheesy and campy as hell in hindsight, but it's perfect in it's emo kid gloryness. No new version needed.)
- Boy Bowser - Hard 2 Stay Sober
- Nicki Minaj - Big Foot - A cappella (The fuq? Even weirder than the one with the beat. At least I catched all the bars now... And Nicki did give a 24h warning, Megan didn't answer and Nicki didn't either? Wtf? What's going on? Maybe Megan didn't intend to make a diss track in the first place? Maybe it was called HISS as a like a cat hisses at someone they don't like someone, but also it kinda sounds like someone going "shhhh!", like "stfu"? She does say in the beginning, she's putting "everything to rest" with the track - she said everything she got to say, no follow up needed?)
- Witchz - Ravenous (It's The Vibe - a playlist I'm working on.)
- Nik Nocturnal ft. Archie Wilson - Undisturbed (🤣 This is amazing! Beginning cracked me up so hard! Nik is an essential part of metal's future. He's so meta.)
- Vana - RAGDOLL (God I love Gen Z. Fuck genre, I'mma do music!)
