Ren - Money Game Part 3 (Initial Thoughts)

I've had a massive headache all week so we'll see how many coherent thoughts I can muster, but first of all, the video was absolutely gorgeous. Great cinematography, only a few takes. So many "moving parts", like in a theater play (lots of people, lots of props). I'm interested to see how different the album version is, because the intro to this was pretty long.
They had a custom countdown they did themselves, which was great.

I also liked the lyrics, how we started with a story of a boy (Jimmy, was it?) whose dad raised him to constantly chase money and power, and then Ren flipped the script into being about all of us. We are all a little bit like Jimmy, deep down. Money runs us all.
I just finished all four seasons of Good Girls in just about two weeks, watched the last few episodes today, so I really do believe Ren when he says that.

All those songs about murderers he's been releasing lately make a bit more sense now. All humans are corruptable - by money, by others, by themselves. No matter how "white" we start, we get more and more grey as time goes on, as we grow up and the world hurts us time and time again. Some get darker than others, but we're all at least a little grey. And there's no going back. What you've seen, heard, done... cannot be taken back. Life is bleak.

Edit, Oct 13th @10:49AM:
Just heard the song a second time just now and realized in the end Ren's words have doubles. He is singing "Then he presses on a trigger on a money game" while holding a gun to his temple. But Ren pronounces "he presses" like he could also be saying "the pressure's". He feels the pressure of the money game and how it ruined his entire life, which triggers him to pull the trigger on the money game, ending his life and the game.
